This guy Tommy charged me $70 to blow the dust out of my brakes. I don't think that he even drove my car around to diagnose the issue properly. Well guess what the internet exists buddy here's your one-star review
Went in for a repair months back, came home with more issues than I went in there with after being double charged from quoted price. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone nor would I return if it was the last place open.
My wife's Toyota Highlander had some serious issues (lots of lights came on all at once) yesterday. We took it to the dealership and were charged $145 for diagnostics...which told us nothing. They even said they'd need at least two more hours of diagnostics just to figure out what the problem might be.
So, a family member recommended we go to Tommy's and we're VERY thankful we did. He got it checked out and fixed the same day, and for less than half of what the diagnostics alone would have cost us at the Toyota dealership. Definitely found our new garage to take our cars to!
This business sold me a jeep ,I had the most terrible experience after giving the money to them, lots of distress getting my extra fob. Afterwards looking at title and paperwork I am not sure but maybe a forged signature. I called about 1 week into driving the jeep and had taken it to a shop in town that verified my rear end was gone. I call Tommy's auto spoke with Tommy, nothing!! Don't care.....I bought a rear end and before I could get that in I started hearing a ticking noise in the motor, I then called Tommy's repair again for help, keep in mind I bought in October 2023. This started right after. I had another mechanic tell me it was patched to sell to people like myself. It saddens me.
I have been in such mental and emotional distress, I am on 5 months with no car, my nerves are shot. I had to go to urgent care yesterday with shingles and well if they only new the anguish this has put me through. What saddens me is I was told by the business that they fix cars such as mine for young ladies in halfway houses that are trying to get on their feet.
This is just WRONG. I contacted BBB out of Birmingham, they wanted me to call the business 1 more time to make things right. If they don't they will take it over and they have attorneys that handle things and someone during all this reminded me about "6 on your side". I am not just fighting for myself but other single, struggling women that may have fallen victim to Tommy's Auto & Repair.
After my husband passed away 4 year's ago I've had to trust someone with my vehicle repairs and my daughter's. Tommy has been that person! I have had nothing but top service. I continue to use him and always will. Trustworthy!
In a world where most are out to upcharge and dont treat your vehicle with respect, tommy's stands above the rest. I've learned over the years to work on my own vehicles and prefer to. When i don't have the time i can always trust my vehicles with tommy. Fast, competent work is completed within a reasonable price range. Don't hesitate to give him a call.
I had to get my radiator replaced due to a coolant leak. After picking up my vehicle from being fixed, I’m still having the same issue with it saying “engine hot and a/c off” on my dashboard. To come 369 dollars out of pocket and the issue not being resolved was a waste of time and money… definitely would NOT recommend this repair shop.
I visit this shop a few days ago. And I felt it was very rude and unprofessional for the owner his self to engaged in a full conversation on the phone for 20 minutes like a paying customer didn't just walk in your place of business. The fact you ignored the customer and didn't acknowledge at no giving time really ensured me this is how you do business on a regular. I don't recommend anyone to pay their hard earned money to a place like this, that don't appreciate your business and offer you this type of customer service.
I'm hoping my experience helps another person from making the same mistake that I did. I took my car to Tommy's because my check engine light flashed. Tommy, who looks like the love child of Uncle Si from duck dynasty and Todd Christly from christly knows best, called me later that day to let me know he is waiting on a part from Honda and it may take a few days. I went to get my car and discovered that it had standing water in the floor. Tommy, the old drunk hippie, refused to take responsibility and stated I left the window to my car opened during a rainstorm. I know for a fact that the windows were closed. My tire pressure was reduced to 22lbs of pressure when the standard is 32 lbs of pressure. Tommy, who resembles a constipated Yosemite Sam, blamed me for the reduction in my tire pressure and charged me $320. I was advised by an attorney to take pictures before and after I leave my car with him. Tommy's Auto Repair is misleading. I feel the name should be Tommy's House of Horrors for automobiles.
These guys are amazing definitely my go to shop for my vehicles from now on,they have fit me in last minute multiple times and have had my vehicle back to me the same day,not to mention they do amazing work for the best price,very professional and helpful individuals
As long as I can remember Tommy's Auto has always been there. I don't know a single person that has one bad thing to say about this place Tommy is an awesome person and he runs a very good business
They are the best, dropped my car of late one afternoon, and had it fixed by mid morning the next day had a broken water pump, no prob, thanks so much I will be using you in the future
