Zero stars really!! My car was towed on a Friday afternoon. The young lady I spoke with on Sunday gave me the price I would have to pay on Monday to get the car out. I arrived to get my car with the amount of money I was told and the gentleman there decided to tack on more money per day that the car had been there. He was EXTREMELY rude!!!! said "do you want your car or not?!" so if you HAVE to use them just know the price changes based on the day and who you are speaking to at the time.
The best of the best. I've had two different situations hours away from where I live and somehow this company showed up for the recovery (more of a rescue honestly) both times. On both occasions, they went out of the way and put in more than what was asked or required and didn't ask for anything extra to do so. They stay patient while I tried to figure out what the best solution would be for me, still shut up after my phone ended up dying and they didn't even hear from me, and bought me and my daughter dinner and made sure we were safe until we were able to get our vehicle fixed. Did I mention they ALSO fixed the vehicle!? 20/10
This place is a complete scam. Avoid them if you want to save your money.
We were originally quoted $1000 for 2 hours to rearrange a load. Once we arrived on-site, they told us the load had to be completely rearranged and increased the price to $5,000. That was already excessive for rearranging lumber, but due to the situation, we reluctantly agreed.
After the work was completed—approximately 6 hours total—we were shocked to receive an invoice for $10,000, equivalent to 20 hours of labor. There was no prior approval, explanation, or justification for this final amount.
This is a highly unethical business practice and a classic bait-and-switch. We strongly recommend not using this company.
ATR was incredibly quick to respond and even arrived before the quoted time. Adam was polite, professional, and an exceptionally skilled driver. I’ve had many cars towed over the years, but he was the first to navigate our tight, steep driveway with ease — on a very dangerous hill, no less!
He went above and beyond, managing to get my car perfectly into the carport so I could work on it out of the weather. The prices are a bit higher than some other local options, BUT the quality and care made it absolutely worth it!
Another huge plus: ATR accepts cards, which is super convenient. I’d definitely call them again — it’s rare to find a towing service this trustworthy and capable.

I had an excellent experience. They responded quickly, arrived right on time, and handled my vehicle with great care. If I could give this poor excuse of a company a 0, I would. Don't leave your debit/credit cards in the car. They only take cash and will not give you a way to get access to your money when you need to pay them. Rude. Will not give you the address to get your car out and will hang up on you.
Tow driver was there to pick up my truck immediately after calling. Henry and his team had my truck back up and running in less than 2 days. Extremely satisfied with the service. Highly recommend!

Moved from Plunkett to 1109 Duncan Avenue Anniston Alabama 36201. It's at the end of the street. My suburban got impounded and the office manager is reasonable and rational. Communicates well. Also kinda lenient. Just a little but though. 35 a day 200 towing fee. I may be wrong about the towing fee. There is a major problem I am going to resolve soon and will post the details. My dash heirloom is missing.
They saved the day for sure! All the other towing companies wouldn’t be able to get out for another 2 hours. They were there within 20 min. Mickey was a great guy and made the whole experience speedy and pleasant.

Out showing some homes to a client and he backed into a very low brick retaining wall and caught the corner of a loose brick and popped the tire! ATR was there quickly and luckily were able to get the tire changed out and fill the spare with air. Great customer service, professional and definitely recommended!
Last night I called ATR after calling like 10 towing companies who were short on drivers or would go the distance. My wrecker I just bought broke down and I needed a tow from Alabama to Georgia. About a 1hr 30m tow.. When I called when I thought it was going to be no she kept saying yes!! She quoted me a price and made the process super simple. She sent the driver right out he arrived in 15 to 20 minutes. It was 11pm at night. I was stranded!! The price was GREAT! As the driver arrived he hooked up the the tow and it begin to pour down rain. They sent me the best driver ever!!! His name was Shane but to me he was Superman. He literally saved my terrible day. He was very friendly and very professional and took me directly to my destination with no problems. Thank you ATR!!!! and Superman Shane!!!!!!! You guys went the distance for me.
I called AAA. Had a blowout due to tire tread detachment with possible valve problem. Stranded on a very busy road. Evening and rush hour were approaching. Recalled AAA. AAA called me a few times. The very polite, efficient and professional driver finally arrived and safely droved me and towed my car home. I did not want to chance another tire issue since this was the second time within one month that two new tires with new valves blew. So grateful to the tow truck driver who also happens to be a military Veteran! Great service in military and as an Alabama Tow and Recovery driver! Bravo! Hip! Hip! Hooray!
Shane received the call for my flat tire. He showed up before his estimated arrival time which I was happy about being that the call was late in the evening. He was very polite and professional throughout the process and it didn’t take long for him to replace my tire. He was careful with removing tires in and out of the vehicle. Shane addressed all of my questions and concerns and made sure that I was good to go before he left. Overall, I am very pleased with the service that I received today.
Today, I met the most wonderful person. Mickey, provided exemplary customer service. He was in constant communication with me before he arrived to take care of my car. Upon arrival, he was professional and courteous. I could not have asked for anything better, he exceeded my expectations. Thank you Mickey for a superlative job!
Was contacted and let me know within 5 minutes when he would be there. Seth was very helpful and informed me of every step. Filled out the form at the mechanic and made sure all of my information was correct on the form. Great service. Would recommend.
Mr. Henry and his team are amazing! They replaced my entire ABS system and my e-break! My car drives better now than it did when I bought it! He''s very upfront on the details of what he is doing and keeps you informed! We live a hour and a half away and he has my business from now on!
Alabama Towing and Recovery made my car breakdown experience go as well as it could have. The staff is friendly, helpful, and INFORMATIVE. They kept me updated every step of the way with how my car was doing and gave me all of my potential options. After breaking down on I-20 I was pretty annoyed, I called AAA and waited in 24 degree weather. The next day they looked into my car and told me what the problem was. The price was reasonable and they explained well what needed to be done. Shout out to my man Joel who was there for me every step of the way and made my experience as pleasant as it could be. I highly recommend this place.
Since I have been at my college, Bill D has come to help me both times I have had car trouble! Amazing person and he was 100% honest with me about my car and where I can take it when it would not start and when i had battery trouble he fixed me right up! He always made it at a great time and I did not have to wait all day. Amazing guy! The business is great too! I had my car tow to a mechanic shop because I thought my transmission went out. But Bill Douglas had saw that hose to the transmission was loose. He put it back on and everything. So he save me over 500 dollars worth of work. I'm am grateful for his service. So I will recommend anyone if they need tow service to use Alabama towing and recovery. Because they is a company who has good hearted employee. I will always be grateful for Bill Douglas. I will never forget this this. Thank you
My daughter was stuck on I-20 outside of Birmingham AL, the first tow company AAA sent was rude to her so we sent them away. Although ATR had an issue with one of their tow trucks and we had to wait extra time on the side of the road it was well worth it. Cody was amazing, he is the example of excellent customer service. He was extremely friendly, patient and the best tow person I have ever had. We appreciate his level of service and would recommend this company to everyone.
