Our off season visit but still worth it! Came back 2 days in a row just for the peace and beauty. Lots of grills and picnic areas. Camping area was clean and easily accessible. There was also a volleyball area

They keep this park very clean for the amount of people using it. The cool water is great for hot summer days. This is an awesome place to bring young or older children, the young ones can play in the shallower water or in the creek run off and the older kids can swim in the deep end and explore the creek. There is also a connecting tunnel from the deep side to the shallow side that the kids love to play in and slide through. There is a volleyball court and a playground but I would say use them more in the morning or evening bc they tend to be hot in the summer. There are table for public use and barbecue grills. There is decent shade but it gets taken fairly quickly on a busy day. Happy swimming and thank you for having us.

Spring was amazing. Deep pool then shallow pool then creek. $5 state park but during government shutdown so a couple ladies trying hard to keep everything going. Don't listen to anyone about the BBQ across the street. Not good.

* Please read to the end * The park is absolutely gorgeous. The springs are pristine, the fishing pond is gorgeous, there's no litter anywhere. Terrific playground for kids. We felt very safe here. All of this is why I give 5 stars. The downside - ▪️ The bathrooms are pretty gross. Especially the one at the playground by the springs. *see the last picture. I would not let my kids go in there. It gave me the creeps & looked like a dank prison shower. If we used the restroom closer to the campgrounds, we took Clorox wipes to wipe the seats off with. The entire weekend we were there, the same trash was in the floors. It did not ever give the look of being cleaned in any way. ▪️ Pull through camper site #6 - prepare to jack your camper up big time to get level. Also prepare to be confused on where exactly you should pull through at because these sites are barely marked. There's no gravel or sand to make you think you should pull in a certain spot. It is grass only. To get level we actually had to pull in the ?do not enter ?direction & face our camper door towards the cabins instead of the woods. ▪️If we return here for recreation, I will likely look for a Hipcamp location to camp at & enjoy the springs as a "guest" not as a camper.

Such a friendly staff. No issues reserving a spot. Camping areas and amenities were nice. But the best part are the crystal clear showing pools.

Everything was amazing. I would recommend you make sure you like COLD water. I am from Minnesota and it was too cold for me even. Not much else to do besides trails and stuff which are incredible. Had one issue with our water spigot and I called and no one has called me back and theres no after hour lines from when it happened. The staff are friendly and everything is very clean and decent compared to other places I've seen.

The park is very nice. The springs were cool and the people there were friendly. I would visit again. It is a family friendly place and pets can visit

We recently spent the weekend here at the park and it was a great experience. We rented one of the cabins. The cabin was a 2/1 but the sofa had a pullout bed. We didn’t get to hike the trail because I left my walking shoes hung on mistake but we did go fishing and the fish were biting. It was so nice to hear all the birds chirping and the wood peckers. I found it very peaceful. Then we went swimming in the spring, the water was chilly but they make you aware of that so you’re prepared. My 10 month old hates the beach but he loved the spring and I was shocked. I almost forgot that the day of check in we were running late and a camp employee called to let us know that they’ll leave everything we need at the front gate which I really appreciated because we were rushing trying to get there before the park closed but when she called and said she’ll Jace everything we need, it was a load off. We will visit again!!

Very well kept, beautiful area. There's a small lake, and crystal clear springs feeding a creek

First time with the family today. We got there about 10 thinking we would beat the crowd.. lol by 12 it was packed. But we still had our own little area. The springs are FREEZING. lol takes your breath away, but you do get used to it. Plenty of area for picnic. We were sad that there was a volleyball sand pit, but we forgot a ball. Bring goggles! Go on a SUPER HOT DAY. lol

Absolutely wonderful. If you are looking for a quiet place to get away but don't really care to do anything but rest. This is the place. The natural spring swimming hole is cold but refreshing and that park is simple and quiet.

This beautiful park is very small but enjoyable. There are two swimming pools that are from the natural springs. The campground is beautiful and very clean. The river that the spring empties into is beautiful also. The family can also play in the creek. There is a two mile trail you can hike but it has some steep hills if you have walking issues. The people working there are very nice and helpful. Overall this is a small park but lovely.

Beautiful park to visit and camp at. They have RV sites with amenities and primitive camp sites. Plenty of restrooms too.

Quaint little campground. Looks and feels old. Campsites need a lot of attention and maintenance. Alabama needs to focus on these smaller parks for a change. We had trouble with water pressure and toilets in the bath houses. The blue water pools are great fun!

I have been looking at this park online for months, dreaming about coming here. The actual park was under thrilling. We walked on the trails, getting completely lost on the overgrown paths, losing track of which trail we were actually on. The big attraction is the spring-fed pools, which are borderline cold. We hung out in the creek, adjusting slowly to the temperature, then worked our way to the first one. I think these pools would have been more fun if we had had floaties with us. Overall the park is well maintained and clean.

Really fun and cute area to hang out at during the summer. The water is very cold (around 66-68), but it drains into a creek with warmer water. We prefer to play in that area. There is also a playground, volleyball, trails, a pond with ducks/geese to feed, and camping. There are facilities to shower and change after/before swimming. They are not usually “clean”, but clean enough for somewhere dirty wet people walk around in. It does need to be cleaned a little better, there is noticeable litter every time we have gone. (But not a huge issues, just noticeable) During the summer it is VERY packed during the day. I would not recommend bringing floats. There is also a building that sells snacks and drinks. Overall, it’s a nice, inexpensive place.

This place is amazing ?. As someone who has grown up swimming in blue holes , I love this place and feel like it rejuvenates my soul , every time I jump in the waters of Blue springs.

Gorgeous spring, well worth a visit. The water temperature is 68 degrees year round so it'd definitely cold. There was a trail but we didnt have a chance to explore it. Lots of cool fish in the "pool". The weather wasnt great when we went but that worked out because we had it all to ourselves! Great place for underwater photography!

I'm so glad I took the road less traveled and visited the spring in the way from Panama City back to Atlanta. The springs were ice cold and the people or locals were very kind and welcoming I hope to return soon.

Absolutely a wonderful gem. Not too close to town to be loud, not so for that your missing the essentials. I planned to camp here a week, ended up staying for two. The spring is so beautiful and the hiking trail feels like the jungle. The staff was so welcoming. Great place to stay, whether you're stopping for the night, or a longer stay. ATT and T-Mobile both work great here!

Beautiful springs! Loved seeing all the little fish! Water is cold but you get used to it. Everyone was friendly. Very inexpensive . Brought a picnic lunch. They also have a separate fishing pond. The only negative is the bathrooms. I have never walked into a restroom and been so disgusted. Underwear rotting in the floor, flies and ants everywhere, and the smell of old urine so strong it took your breath away? we could not use them at all.

It is a nice place to get wet in summer. Camping ground here is another good option. A lot of pinic table with grills in different area. Price is reasonable, 4 dollars per person with free parking.

Blue Springs State Park was a nice spot to spend a week camping, even in early spring. We visited in March and the spring was still a bit cold for swimming with the outdoor temps, but that didn’t stop our kids from hopping in and swimming with the fishes! We also loved the campsite right on the river — very pretty! Follow our full time travel journey through state and national parks on Instagram: @arndts.arent.staying.put

Our visit to Blue Springs State Park was a lot of fun for my grandchildren (ages 11, 13 & 15). I enjoyed seeing it personally. We enjoyed using the picnic table and would like to bring food next time to put on the grill -- all of us would like to return before the hot air is replaced with cold air. I recommend anyone traveling to Blue Springs from Mobile, AL to drive I-10 east to the Cottondale exit and north to Dothan; then, north to Blue Springs, AL. More cabins and marketing would be good. If I had to choose something to improve at Blue Springs, it would be more attention to the bath house, a very important feature!

Beautiful unique spring! But, unfortunately everything is very run down and unkept. Bath house at campground was extremely hot and filthy. The little bit of staff that they have were friendly.

I grew up going here from the time I could swim I was in it. It's a firm 68 degrees and cold as can be. It can 'jar' you on a hot summer day but instantly cool you down. There is an area where the spring water meets with the creek and its warm. Also have a lake area.

Fun place to cool off. And the water is ICE cold! I couldn't stay in the water, but the kids were in it all day long. Come for the whole day. Cookout. It's worth the trip if you have to drive a little way. We drive an hour and a half to get here. They do have some FEMA trailers they rent out in the back of the park. And beyond those is an RV campground. Very nice place.

I love Blue Springs. You feel so good when you get out of the water. I like to take my puppy to walk around and work on his training. It's a peaceful get-away.
