We have been with this place for years. They have moved out to Hazel Green. Lot is paved with gravel so not sure about wheelchair use. Appointment is needed/recommended. Friendly people. Privately owned business, no chain. Prices fair.
Absolutely fair prices and excellent work with better customer service. This place has earned a lifetime customer. Went out there way to accommodate my vehicle and address my issues. The best and worth the drive without fail. You will not be disappointed!
We drove a few hours because we’d heard great things about Huntsville Automotive. We were in contact ahead of time to discuss issues we’d had. When we arrived, we were welcomed like family and treated with the utmost respect. Within a couple of days, we had a new transmission, new brakes, and our truck is like brand new! We could not say enough good things about these folks. We will use them for all automotive work we need from now on! 10/10, HIGHLY recommend!
They were very helpful and courteous. They give a lot of details on what they do and also provide photos of the work they've done. I feel like I can definitely trust this place.
Seemed to be very nice folks. Asked them to something that they were not comfortable with and, rather than just doing it they declined. Shows good judgement in my opinion. Did point me to other shops that might be a better fit. Would definitely go back for normal repairs.

Great shop. I love the web enabled, diagnosis report you get via text message. There are pictures of the issues of concern in the report. Military discount, Veteran owned. I'll keep taking my BMW here.
These guys are top notch! Had to have front axles replaced on my Volvo C70 and they searched several sources for the parts to get me the best price. They have serviced three of my vehicles and I've never been anything less than 110% satisfied with their honesty, their work or their prices. Adam, Gary, Julie and Pat are all great folks; and after you've done business with them, you'll realize they don't think of you as a number on a shop ticket, but really care about doing a good job for you and want to keep you as a long-term customer. Some independent shops are run by "shade-tree" mechanics, but not these guys; they have many years of specialized training and experience. Give them a try, you will not be sorry you did!

The owners and staff at Huntsville Automotive are excellent and courteous! I highly recommend them for all your automotive needs. My car was ready before I even finished eating and I trust them to never try and "up sell" me like a lot of places will. I recommend them to anyone I know needing a car serviced.
I have taken my car and my wife's car to Huntsville Automotive and we have both been more than pleased with their service and quality of their work. They were very upfront and honest with regards to what was wrong with my car and even gave me multiple options on how to repair it. I would absolutely recommend them and if I have car problems in the future they'll be my first call.
Very polite staff. But that means nothing when the shop does not fix your car! I dealt with this shop for about 6 months. Bring my car back THREE (3) TIMES. YES, three times. My car ran hot before and is still running hot NOW! I have a 03 Honda civic and I complained of overheating and a possible pressure build up. These people just refilled the coolant and replaced hoses on top of that charged me $160 for a freaking pressure test!! I come back the 2nd time same complaint. They do the same thing. Maybe I'm gullible or just want to give ppl a chance. I come back for the the 3rd and absolute final time! They trow and sensor at it and says "come back if that doesn't work" .. really ?!!? ?????
The helpful staff worked with me to schedule a short notice assessment, handled a change in appointment time, had the work done quickly and professionally, then assisted in an estimate on future work. Good price, service, and friendly people.

I randomly selected this business out of the yellow pages, as there is not a well known Volvo repair facility close to my residence. The entire staff is courteous and professional, providing honest answers and prompt service at a fair price. They are located between 45 minutes to an hour from where I live and I consider the drive well worth while. Two thumbs up!
One of the most important things to have, wherever you live, is a good mechanic. Huntsville Automotive is a great company that I trust with both of my vehicles. They have been servicing my cars for a few years and I do not have one legitimate complaint about their service. The only thing that I wish they would change is possibly having one mechanic or two work on Saturdays. But that is a lot to ask since I, myself, do not work on Saturdays. They are fast, know what they are doing, and seem to have fair prices.
Just last week I called them up around 11 a.m. on a Friday. They were able to squeeze me in, figure out the problem, get the part delivered, and have the repair finished before closing time that day.
I will continue to use them for my vehicles and would highly recommend anyone looking for a good mechanic to try them out.
Huntsville automotive did a fantastic job fixing both my cars. They are professional and will check the car from front to back. They are determined to give the best service possible and get you safely back on the road. They are honest and I defenitely recommend them for all your auto needs!
I had a young man wanting to purchase my vehicle. We took it to Huntsville Automotive to have it checked out. The guy said it was leaking transmission fluid around the external coolant condenser. Of course we both had questions including " How much fluid was it losing". He didn't know. We asked if he had checked it and the answer was no. By this time we are wondering if you did a complete check and said it was leaking transmission fluid why do you not check the fluid level. We then asked can you check it. We were told no that he had already spent an hour on the vehicle. Really?This was after he had given us an outrageous price of $881 to repair it and he knew we weren't going to let him do it. I checked with my mechanic and was told that anything over $300 is a rip off. The young man buying the vehicle also checked with his mechanic and was told pretty much what mine told me. I will NEVER step foot in this place again. The guy himself admitted that by them being located in the city that they had to be higher than rural areas. I'm not lying. My advice is to STAY AWAY. I will continue to spread the word about my terrible experience there.
As a local automotive body shop, we sometimes need mechanical repairs done in conjunction with the repairs that we do. Adam and Gary are our Go-Too guys in this regard.
I found Huntsville Automotive when seeking a second quote for work on my Porsche. They gave me a quote and assured me that their technician was certified to work on my car. Based on their quote and their assurances, I decided to go ahead with the work. I was pleasantly surprised as they completed the work quickly, professionally and for the quoted price, which was far more reasonable than the other quote I received. I've been going there now for 2 years for regular service and have always been treated with the best service and honest assessments of the work needed to keep my car performing the way it should.
I'm so glad I found a place to have my son's MINI serviced! I had a truly enjoyable experience, from talking to Pat and Julie, to discussing the needed repairs with Gary and Jeremiah, who are very knowledgeable. Huntsville automotive saved the day!!! My 02 Volvo broke down on I-65 16 miles into Tennessee on my way to Ohio from Alabama. They had the parts I needed and got me on the road quickly. Well worth the extra cost to tow it that far. If you own a Volvo and live within 50 miles of Huntsville take it to them!!!! You won't regret it!!!!!
This is without a doubt the best repair shop that I have found to service my 13 year old Volvo. It now runs better than it has in years. Additionally, they always pay attention to the little things. They periodically give me a call to make sure everything is working as anticipated and take the time to fully explain each suggested repair. This is the first place that I recommend when anybody asks me about repair shops.
Called to get estimate on work. Told them the exact car and part I needed. They were the only place in town that could not give me a quote on the spot and instead insisted bring it in for reasons they could not articulate. Kind of sketchy.
My husband and I were traveling through Alabama on our way to Michigan and had the misfortune to have the front seal go out in our transmission on our motor home. But we were very fortunate to find Huntsville Automotive who went above and beyond in helping us get back on the road again. Anyone who goes to this shop will find some of the most professional,courtoues and understanding people. And has one of the cleanest and well equiped shops that I have been in. You will be well served to deal with this shop for any automotive need you may have. They get a AAA rating from us.
